Allerton Steel Ltd has undertaken many projects throughout the world and is privileged to have worked with many organisations, some of whom are listed below.

Haysfield Road Bridge, Chinley (near Chapel-en-le-Firth, Derbyshire)
On behalf of Stobert Rail, we have fabricated 2 bridge collision beams to provide additional protection for a Network Rail stone built arch bridge which has suffered from repeated bridge strikes from road vehicles. The 2 beams were fabricated from heavy plate to match the profile of the bridge arch. The scope of supply included the anchor brackets to hold the collision beams onto the existing structure. We additionally undertook a very accurate “as built” survey of the completed beams using our own specialist surveying system, once fabricated, so that the anchor brackets could be accurately installed during the installation possession reducing the possibility of construction errors during this critical stage.

Bridge Building in a Wild Place
Allerton Steel Ltd on behalf of R J McLeod has fabricated the steelwork for a replacement bridge at Loch Ba on Rannoch Moor in the Highlands as part of their A82 upgrade scheme for Transport Scotland.
R J McLeod is the Civil Contractor on the £2.2m scheme which replaces the existing 3 span RC bridge. The new composite deck bridge is constructed from Weathering Grade steel, with 6 plate girders spanning 32m and totalling 55te. The bridge beams were pre-fabricated as 3 pairs landing onto 4 crosshead beams at the piers, and the bearings at the abutments. The final 6 span beams were then placed as individual items. The structure had site welded splices to allow for transport restrictions en route to the site. Tom Brodie Contracts Manager for R J McLeod said “Allerton have performed well on this job, working with us to deliver the steelwork on time, and I look forward to working with them again”.
