About Us
Allerton Steel Ltd occupies modern workshops and office facilities on two sites, with over 6,950 sq m (75,000 sq ft) capacity. The workshops offer a lift capacity up to 55 tonnes and are equipped with modern plant and machinery including semi-automatic welding, CNC operated profile, saw, drilling and milling machines. Additionally we have a 3D modelling and surveying system to assist with complex fabrications and inspection.
Our people are our greatest asset and their Health, Safety and Welfare is our highest priority. To further develop our safety all supervisors and managers have completed the IOSH Managing Safely course
Our engineering skills are to the highest standards. As such we are qualified to BS EN ISO 15614-1:2004, EN287-1/2004, ASME 9 & EEMUA 158 procedures in MMA, MIG, GSFCAW, and Sub-Arc processes.
We have our own apprentice training programme to develop and train our own staff. We currently have 9 apprentices at various stages of their training. We normally look to employ new apprentices each year.

Our design and construction capability provides clients with sub and super structure design, bridge deck fabrication, installation and can include minor civil works.
BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (soon to be 2008) Approved and certified by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance for the design, manufacture and erection of structural steel bridgeworks.
We are registered and approved by Link-Up for fabrication of rail and foot bridges.
Flexibility in design together with a pro-active project management will deliver our clients assured bridge construction on time and to budget.
We adopt a collaborative approach with clients to deliver economical, workable and buildable solutions. We offer many value-added options to projects such as Value Engineering, Risk Mitigation and Partnering.
